Breast Cancer

My story about Halina

by Barbara Guzewska

I would like to share with you the tale of my life which is both funny and full of pain. In November of 2005 I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. I struggled with myself about making the right choices for the treatment and eventually I decided to go with the traditional way and had a full mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and hormonal treatment. The medication made me very week but I’m a strong person and I decided to get well as soon as I could. I changed my diet and daily walks as well as bike rides became a part of my daily routine. I was on my way to the full recovery. I chose to reconstruct my breast. It took six surgeries to complete it. All was well… or so I thought.

Just after my last surgery which took place in October 2007, I felt two little lumps in between my breasts. At first I was not worried about it because I was working out every day I thought that it was just a muscle that I had pulled. I went to the doctor and she sent me for some test. After a week I went to see her to talk about the results of my biopsy. The cancer was back in full swing! I was devastated. I thought to myself, I have been through enough already!

I was tired of being sick and I lost faith in conventional medicine. The only thing my oncologist had to offer was another surgery to remove part of my ribs and sternum bone and to have an experimental treatment at the time called Avastin. I went to St. Michael’s cathedral and asked God to help me.

He answered my prayers. The next day we went out for a dinner with friends of ours. I told them about my situation and that I was confused and hopeless. One of them looked at me and asked to go and see Halina. I told her that I did not believe in such treatments. She said to me Go and experience it yourself, you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I knew that she was right so the next day I showed up at Halina’s house. I did not know what to expect when I entered the room I saw this modest woman who greeted me with the warm smile. She asked me what was the purpose for my visit and I briefly told her my story. When I was done, I turned to Halina and told her that I was sceptical and I did not believe that she could help me because the healing touch was something that surpassed my beliefs. She looked at me and started laughing. Her response to me was that of kindness, understanding and pure love for another human being. She did not get upset. On the contrary, Halina told me that I made a big step by coming to get help from her and as long as I wanted to get well she is willing to try to everything she can to make me healthy.

I will never forget feeling the hot energy going through every part of my body as she held her hands above my head. It was something out of this world and it made me feel so good. I came to see Halina every day and the lumps were getting smaller and smaller after each session with Halina. She told me to come seven times and then go back to the oncologist and have my CT scan done. Much to my doctor’s surprise, the cancer was gone.

It has been over a year and my oncologist still gets emotional when she sees me. She calls my case a miracle. In January 2008, they were writing me off as a lost cause at the hospital and here I am today healthy and happy thanks to Halina’s healing touch.

She not only helped me to get me cured but she made me a different person who believes in alternative methods of treatment and ultimately is able to help other cancer patients to see the light and bring hope and love to them. There are no words to describe my gratitude to this wonderful lady whose life brings so much joy, hope and love to others. I’m now a true believer. Thank you Halina, not only for the gift of live but for helping me to find my way in the journey on this Earth.
